As Practice Manager of Gem Health and Wellness, I oversee daily operations, billing procedures, and work on implementing growth strategies that center patient satisfaction and our organizational values.
I earned my Bachelor of Business degree in marketing from Cleary University and also have a certificate in Medical Billing. My professional career has included considerable experience in patient care, scheduling tests and surgeries, organizational operations, electronic medical records systems, and the fundamentals of health insurance. From this experience, I have afforded a unique perspective of the healthcare industry, which encourages and excites me to be a part of this patient-centered practice even more. I have an inquisitive nature which drives me to pursue personal and professional growth opportunities to further expand on my education and knowledge.
I was born and raised in Michigan, where I live with my husband of 23 years. We have 2 amazing children and 2 adorable pups. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, discovering new restaurants, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

I am honored and thrilled to begin this next phase of my career working in a Primary Care setting that promotes wellness in a very close-knit and personalized manner. I have been working full time for the past 20-plus years in a health care setting. I have held positions in central scheduling for diagnostic testing and imaging with Botsford Hospital, Beaumont Health and Ascension. I have been married to my husband, Jason, for 16 years and we have two spoiled fur babies. We enjoy cooking together and traveling throughout Michigan to discover quaint Bed & Breakfast getaways.

I discovered my passion for working in healthcare when I began as a volunteer at St.
Joseph Emergency Room in Saline, MI during my years at Clinton High School where I
graduated from in 1988. I continued my education at Washtenaw Community College
and eventually became a Certified Medical Assistant in 1993 and began working in
Family Medicine.
I married my husband, Steve, and became a very busy working mom raising our 4
wonderful children. I developed a strong sense of all the roles involved in running a
Family Medicine clinic over these years and earned a BCBS Certificate for Medical
Billing.
In 2001, we moved to Fenton, MI and I began working as a CMA in Urgent Care where
I worked up to a management position and became Laser Certified for Aesthetics. I
currently manage an Outpatient Urgent Care clinic in addition to being a CMA with Dr.
Kuzdak and the Gem Health Family.
I am very happy to back in Family Medicine again. This time even more so because of
the intimate setting where we can spend time and provide more individualized care to
our patients and their families. When I am not working, I enjoy outdoor activities and
spending time with all of my family!

With over 29 years of experience as a dedicated Medical Assistant, in Cardiology and Family Medicine, I have developed a deep expertise in patient care, clinical procedures and administrative support. Known for my compassionate approach and strong attention to detail, I have been an integral part of healthcare teams, ensuring seamless operations in fast paced medical environments. My extensive knowledge and commitment to patient well-being are what drives me to be an asset and provide patient comfort and ease, while in our care. Being a daughter of a Navy veteran, I was born in the Philippines and grew up in San Diego, CA. I moved to Michigan in 1994 and live in West Bloomfield with my amazing husband Jamie. We have a beautiful adult daughter and rescue puppy Journey. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, going to concerts, attending Red Wings and Tiger games, and spending time with my family and friends.
